Well CUSA fans will be back talking more junk. They had a good night with wins over Vanderbilt and UCF. We beat Villanova by 5. Come on Temple and Tulsa we need some FBS wins...

^dude lay down the arms. It's time to give up this charade. The AAC isn't any better than any other G5 and the gap between us and the P5 is HUGE.

No, the difference in money is huge. Bad loses and upsets happen, Okie State had all they could handle from Central Michigan last night. The AAC schools by and large have the largest athletic budgets and are building facilities at a pace only perhaps the MWC can match.

It wasn't so long ago that the ACC lost to the CAA twice in the same year/weekend IIRC.

What would that say about this conference?

Something similar to what Ohio State losing their opening game to Va Tech last year but going on to win the national championship said about the B1G (and the entire FBS for that matter).

Losing to VT is in no way comparable to losing to FIU. Crikey.

The B10 champ lost to a mediocre team from the ACC, a P5 conference perceived to be lesser than the B10, but still a P5.

In our scenario, the hypothetical AAC champ lost to a hypothetically mediocre team from C-usa, a G5 conference perceived to be lesser than the AAC, but still a G5.

That is comparable.

Maybe ucf can get a rematch in the Bahamas bowl

After today that seems like a best case scenario.

Ok I'll stop

Ok...season started...time to take your Top 25 off your signature...

But its definitely relative ....access bowl isnt national championship and they still have USCe and Stanford on the schedule that can easily be used to forget all about this game

win and the media will be tons of new starters learning for fiu game

Nothing more than it said when Ohio State, national champion, lost to Va Tech (who lost to ECU) last year... Or when Louisville lost to FIU a few years ago.

Its the nature of the game.

UCF controlled their own destiny at the end. The kicker missed. Lets have some perspective. It was a freshman kicker who never kicked before. How does that transfer over to all of these grand narratives you're spinning about the conference.

For my part, I respectfully say "no thanks". That's not a slam at UCF, though. They have already done things in the past which bring much credit to the AAC. Last night was unfortunate for the AAC - obviously we (even USF - must be hard, though, LOL) should always pull for our conference brothers in OOC games. FIU was lucky to catch UCF early in the season. I would not be surprised to see their young players mature quickly.

We did just get a 4* shooting guard, two 3*s (a PG and a center) and our formerly injured 3* PF back... we could have a good bounce back year. Time will tell

The SEC has been asked by UCF and USF supporters to drop Mississipi State and Ole Miss and accept them. Is this a joke?
