CAA Week 1
Four games start the first week tonight, all match-ups with FBS teams.

Villanova at UConn
Stony Brook at Toledo
Elon at Wake Forest
UNH at San Jose State

A lot of people are picking Villanova. I would feel better if they were an underdog. UConn is not good - but that's on an FBS level.

UNH lost a lot of talent yet still got many high picks this season in the polls. Will be interesting to see how they hold up.

Wake is not expected to show much either - nor is Elon. Sounds like a 31-7 game to me.

SBU had a terrific defense last year - interested to see how it stacks up with Toledo. Last year, SBU lost a squeaker at UConn, 19-16.

RE: CAA Week 1
People usually disagree with me but I'm pulling for a FBS sweep tonight. We don't need a CAA team to get a jump on us.

Fine by me. I know we're supposed to be "rah rah CAA kumbaya" when other schools play out of conference but I flat out don't like the other schools in the conference and I don't want their fans to be happy.

RE: CAA Week 1
I want to see CAA schools win against FBS schools to raise our strength of schedule and for the prestige we would get by beating said winners later in the season. AS far as "rah rah CAA kumbaya", not so much.

All on ESPN3, except for UNH.

Surprised and jealous of the national airtime that Richmond's getting this weekend with the Maryland game set for ESPNU.

Still remember our painful Labor Day Weekend trip to College Park where we gave away a 7-6 game on a dropped TD by Ryan Moody. Man, the defense was great, but it was likely the 2nd most painful FBS loss in the last 10 years. UNC was definitely the most painful since they injured many of our players late with dirty play(late in the season) and possibly cost us a deep playoff run. Plus, we dominated much of the game only to lose.

Both those losses still burn me up. Especially because I thought we looked like the better team.

CAA Week 1
Villanova doesn't look great. They're moving the ball okay, but don't seem to be as dangerous. Sure it's against an FBS team, but UConn isn't that great. Kicking issues still abound for them though.

Villanova with a huge pick right before halftime. Probably saved a touchdown. It was inside the 5
