Is it weird that I'm slightly less excited for football season now that I know we are moving to FBS? Because now I feel like I am really just waiting until my first real football season starts in 2017...when my alma mater is decked out in our expanded stadium playing FBS opponents.

These will be the longest 2 football seasons of my life.

Enjoy this season because you still have a lot to play for. Your team should be the conference favorite and a serious NC contender in FCS. IMO next year will be the tough one for you. 2013 was absolutely brutal for me as a GS fan up until the UF win, which washed all the bad taste away.

No weird at all. the next two seasons will be tough, but its all worth it in the end.

You can handle it. At least you have an existing football team and stadium. Teams like Charlotte, UTSA, South Alabama and Old Dominion had to start from scratch. Some with nothing other than a mascot.

Same for me, the Astros are in contention two years ahead of schedule. This is with terrible holes in the lineup.
