App State Field Hockey
For the App State folks, has field hockey found a home for beyond 2015? It looks like App and Liberty are independent for this season.

RE: App State Field Hockey
I don't think so, the only options would be as affiliates of the CAA or A10 which don't need any members and are too competitive for our less than stellar program, or the MAC which I believe is at the minimum or one above now and has Longwood (VA) as an affiliate currently. I'd bet on life as an independent with outside chance of the MAC. Realignment hasn't effected schools in the field hockey playing areas enough to cause any conference to need an affiliate.

It really is a nice game, how about some of you Sun Belters give it a go. It adds 15-20 women's spots under Title IX.

If three or four Belt schools add it, we can invite Liberty as an affiliate! Haha

Coastal has Woman's lacrosse and will have to find a home for it. I know they are different sports but I wonder if Coastal would switch lacrosse to field hockey or just add field hockey for title IX. There are some strong beliefs that Coastal will add sand volleyball.

Florida and Vanderbilt play WLAX in the Big East, so that may be a possibility. The Atlantic Sun would probably also be an option.
