Good For Me!
Was walking down Edgewood Avenue towards the bookstore to get some gear this afternoon. In the sea of royal blue Panther head clad kids I see one guy walk with a backpack and a Georgia G t-shirt.

I resisted the urge to push him in front of a streetcar. Hence the thread title.

And now more Chanticleer already in progress.

He was welcome to try and move all 300 lbs :)

But it does simply never cease to amaze me. To cool to root for the school you attend.

Niiiiiice .. . . No matter how ticked some inconsiderate, piss-ant fan of some lesser University makes us, it's always important that we're able to exercise restraint and BE the Bigger Man . . . . .

(Always hated seeing Students wearing UT gear in SM)

If he truly weighs 300 lbs., I'd play hell pushing him. If someone did, I pity the poor streetcar and it's passengers.

What should really piss you off is the Landmark Diner on Forsyth. It's right across the street from some Ga State buildings and they have a neon "G" in the window.

I'm a Georgia Southern fan and even that pisses me off. I will say that I've enjoyed talking **** to Ga State fans everytime I eat on Broad Street. I actually ran into a few basketball players at Rosa's after the conference championship. Surprisingly nice to me

There is a bar off Broad that is owned by Florida fans. Needless to say, not a Panther bar even though its the closet bar to campus.

I'm teaching two sections of GSU freshman orientation this semester. The students have quizzes so I can enforce their reading the textbook to some extent (the class doesn't count toward their GSU hours, but it does figure into their GPA for HOPE, so don't think I'm being a jerk about a "pointless" class), but I also have a series of student involvement activities that they can do to cancel out poor quiz grades.

One of these is attending a GSU sporting event. They understand that if they're wearing UGA attire in the picture they send me, they not only don't get credit for it, but they get an additional zero on a quiz. I will stand by my word.

Don't be so quick to judge the young, misguided man... after all, he might have been the janitor for the nearby MARTA station.

RE: Good For Me!
I look at folks like that with pity really.

To them, that symbol only stands for a handful of Saturdays a year.

To me, as an alumni, it means much more than just a handful of Saturdays. To me it stands for the friends I've meet, the alumni I network with, the fraternity brothers I share a bond with, and of course an undergraduate path that lead me into the career I'm in today. The memories and experiences gained from being intimately apart of an institution will be treasured forever. Each time I come back, its as if I am coming home. More importantly, it lead to the family I have today.

Each time I wear my colors, it is a symbol of pride and what made me who I am today.

Did you ever think maybe he has a good reason for wearing a Georgia shirt? Perhaps, a family member played or attended in Athens or he has rooted for the Bulldogs since childhood.

I wear Army gear all the time at my school. Heck, I don't even attend our football games on Saturday, I prefer to watch real college football on TV.

The one issue we see eye to eye on. The thuga fans irritating it has been a constant battle on gsufans. It is way less worse than it used to be though. They got a lot less vocal with uga mediocre play and us moving up. Should have at least tripped him.
