Week 1: Sunbelt Prediction Thread
Hey guys! The 2015 season is finally here! Here is my prediction for week 1:

Ohio @ Idaho: 38-35 Should be a good game to watch for the opening sunbelt season. I think they are pretty evenly matched, but I am voting for the sunbelt.
Charlotte @ Georgia State: 42-35 Once again, pretty evenly matched. Battle for the best team that went FBS for the purpose of them being in a big city. Hoping that Atlanta wins.
ULM @ Georgia: 35-10 I don't think that Georgia will blow out ULM, but I do think that they will shut them down pretty well.
Howard @ App State: 52-7 App should handle Howard pretty easily, and have an ample amount of time to assess their new talent and make adjustments.
Gardner-Webb @ South Alabama: 42-10 South Alabama will have a similar game to that of App this week. Allow their secondary to get some reps.
Troy @ NC State: 35-17 I think Troy will keep NC State honest in the beginning, and NC State will eventually pull away and hold their lead.
Louisiana @ Kentucky: 42-24 This may be the best shot for a sunbelt team to beat an SEC team this season, however, I think that after keeping the game even for the first half, Kentucky will gain a 2 TD lead and hold it.
NMSU @ Florida 45-10 Florida is rebuilding their program, and have a pretty easy first game. I think Florida will have a clear lead throughout the whole game.
Georgia Southern @ West Virginia: 35-24 As much as it pains me to say it, Georgia Southern has very little chance of winning this game. It's away, and we don't have our starting QB. It will be a long night. I still hope that we keep it close.
Texas State @ Florida State: 45-14 This will be a tough game for Texas State, and I hope that they don't get blown out. I think this is the toughest game for a Sunbelt Team this week.
Arkansas State @ USC : 42-27 USC is a traditional powerhouse team, and will give Arkansas State a tough game Saturday night.

RE: Week 1: Sunbelt Prediction Thread
Already have a week 1 prediction thread somewhere.

I think you are about right on those except State beats Charlotte worse than that.

I concur with these predications.

As for Idaho, I have added in the stats link from last year. The game was never out of hand even with getting behind by 17 points. The keys to this game will be:
1. Don't get down by 17 early.
2. Don't throw three interceptions to the same LB (or three interceptions at all).
3. Stop their ground game (135 yards by Oeulette) and run block for our own ground game (only 58 by Penny).

Otherwise, this game is extremely evenly matched.

Go Vandals

I agree on the game winners, but I think the Cajuns and TXST will make the games a little closer, and GaSt will win by 17.

That's one tough opening week schedule for the SBC. Georgia, NC State, Kentucky, Florida, West Virginia, Florida State, and USC. Dang.
