Letting CL go was a good move.

Dude. Check the thread title.

There are plenty of opportunities to pile on Georgia State. This ain't one of them.

The only time people care to watch Army is when they play Navy...and even then it's mostly just people that have an affiliation with one or the other.

Coaches typically don't like playing their former team actually or against former assistants if they can help it.

It's a respectable scheduling move. However, I have no desire to schedule Army or Navy. Once Monken gets that program on track, he is going to be as deadly as Navy.

Last year, we were 5 points and being smart enough NOT to schedule Navy, away from being 12 and 0.

This is Monken getting some recruiting exposure again in Georgia.

I don't fault or AD here. I like seeing our former coaches do well. Except for that idiot leading the Notre Dame defense. Hope PJ and the Jackets destroy the Irish.

It might be a good game, IF GAST improves. Otherwise, Army will put a big whopping on GAST. Not sure that is going to be a winnable game.

I don't think Monken would have any interest in coming back to Paulson to get shellacked. He still recruits Georgia pretty hard. A game in Statesboro does him no favors. A game in Atlanta in a fertile recruiting ground with lets just say a "beatable" opponent is a no brainer for Army.

Fact is, who wouldn't want GaSt on their schedule right now?

How much is Ga St getting paid?

Nice add Georgia State.

Would have been sweet for me since I only live 40 miles from West Point, NY.

It's a beautiful area right on the Hudson River. I'd highly recommend making the trip to West Point, NY. Fall colors, great weather in the fall, best apples in the COUNTRY come from NY State.

At this point in GaSt's program this is a good get. Also a very unique experience if you can make it up to the game at West Point.
