We have highest team GPA in the state last 2 years... They wouldn't cut it here. Pretty convenient everyone leaves that part out when discussing this. Hud obviously holds the guys accountable in the classroom...but that's ok, keep throwing those stones in your glass houses...Especially coming from a school who couldnt participate in post season basketball because of APR issues.
Exactly.

Exactly like that, has he always been that muscular or in other words do you think he'd pass a PED test? Either way I'm sure chicks dig it.

He played college ball so I'm pretty sure he has always been in good shape. He does in fact workout and run with the team. His wife is also into fitness/lifting/marathons. Never really understood the whole "haha look how healthy HUD is " angle. Haters gonna hate I guess.

I'd heard people say he was in shape, but didn't realize he looked like pro wrestler material. He'd put a hurting on our coach lol. Nothing wrong with keeping the figure trim to be sure! Nice facility enhancements nonetheless. What's the plan for funding them? I know we're still paying our's off slowly but surely from a few years ago. It certainly didn't help costs when you're cutting out chunks of a mountain before beginning construction in earnest.

Paid for by donors, $11 million baseball renovation to start after this season... Paid for by donors.

I sure hope we see the plans for the Tigue soon....I think I am more excited for that than for Cajun Field. Lord knows Robe and crew have earned it!

Scanning through your master facilities plan, keeping up with the Jones' never gets easier! You guys are going to have a near bowl once Cajun Field is complete. Tigue's gonna be sharp as well. What's the planned seated stadium capacity going to be at Cajun Field?

I personally think when it's all done it will be about 40k. Our current seating capacity will be reduced because we will have to get up to code on spacing. I don't see it being more than 45k with the ability to easily add seating in future if needed

I'm interested in the code on spacing. Do you know much about it? I'm pretty sure the West side stands at App's Kidd Brewer would fail miserably in that regard, spacing. The average sized man can barely sit upright without knocking his knees against the aluminum seatback on the isle in front of him. I had no idea there was code on something like that. I'm 6'3" and come home with bruised knees and shins from this after every home game. Since the stands are outdoors, I just figured if they provided adequate exit capabilities then they would be good.

Yes, I think ~40K is a good estimate, especially if you base it on the latest rendering out there: The new UD will not be nearly as high as the old one. IDK if the other UD's will be of equal height, but they are further down the timeline.

I'm not 100% sure but our current old seats are only 18" wide and they should be either 22" or 24"... Someone else might be able to post the pics but you can see the difference in the spacing in our new endzone sears. The actually seats are wider(numbers on bleachers), the space between rows are wider and the grade is not as steep. From what I'm hearing our plan is to keep everyone close to the field, our suites, club level and press box won't be extremely tall but will be the thing of the field. Something similar to Oklahoma state configuration but only 1 side. Bowling in the other endzone and afte completion of new suites and club level plus reseating of current 18" to the 22-24" code will have us around the 40-45k seating

I'm jealous, that all sounds awesome. I'm bringing a tape meaure to the GaSo game Thursday to compare those measurements to ours. It's ridiculously cramped and dangerously steep I think, especially if there is any ice or snow. You guys are doing it right.

Like you guys would ever need to worry about ice or snow. CF rolls eyes.

BTW, steep is the upper deck in the Super Dome. I was scared crapless and was a young man when I made that first trip.

Yes, God forbid the stadium would need to be evacuated quickly... People would just get trampled. Aside from safety, it will make it much more comfortable and much less awkward when another grown man has to cross in front of you to get out. You have to stand up on your seat basically if it's 2 bigger guys... Like myself.

Both upper decks will be identical....about one half the size of our current upper deck.....the Stadium when complete will come in around 44,000 when counting club and suite seating

New lighting for baseball supposed to be done (with current poles removed) during the 2015 Christmas break. Stadium will hopefully begin just after the season ends this year. All Cajun fans will be very happy with the look of the new baseball stadium.

If y'all want to see the finish product here it is, Take a look at the video it is quite impressive. Shows the entire APC. This video deserves an entire new thread.

Just a heads up. The link was already listed on post# 8 in this thread. That's what everyone has been posting about.
