So my personal observation on 8-18-15
Wes Smith was not there (I heard he was on vacation in the Gulf).
Jerrod Haase really gets it. He became a preacher.
Marla Townsend finally got to speak out.
Coach Clark was very calculated, studying notes for an hour up until he spoke and gave a near sermon.
Hatton Smith , what can you say about him that you can't witness?
Hatton is a force of positivity to be reckoned with. Today I saw him at the front door of the Alumni House welcoming every single person that walked in there, whether they be known, unknown, or otherwise.
He was truly a man on a mission.
He led the band, told people this was a day of positivity & said whatever Ray Watts was on the past is not a factor on what we can do going forward.
He welcomed people, welcomed a beach volleyball recruit from California to a rehearsed "We Want You" cheer, and welcomed individual UAB sponsors to personalized cheers! It was amazing!
You did not see Ray Watts or Mark Ingram out there doing that same thing.
I think we all know at this point the people outside of the administration is what is going to make this possible.

All very true- this has truly been a grass roots campaign to save football, and that's NOT about to change anytime soon. It's up to the UAB faithful.
GO BLAZERS!
