I'd be fine if we ended up back in Mobile. I don't think they will get tired of it even if it is not ideal.

I think GS fans would flock to any bowl we get to. I am not picky-- I'll take any bowl.

I think your mistaken G5 doesn't have casual fans, just ask any fan base in the south. Or am I the only one that gets constant updates on UGA football by Georgia fans. Because I was born in Georgia so I must automatically be a dawgs fan. And when I tell them I grew up when GS was winning championships and UGA was going 6-6 and 7-5 I get blank stare. Wait a minute what was this thread about again...

Not even gonna lie... The meltdown would be hilarious.

I wouldn't even be all up in arms, but I know many would. Our fans gotta remember, the ranking of the conference teams isn't the deciding factor.

If GS is bowl eligible and not going to the access bowl, we are going to Orlando. The only other option is going to the bowl that takes the sbc champion this year.

Probably so. I remember when USA played at UC Davis back when we were FCS and we brought between 400-500 fans to Cali just for a regular season game. Ya gotta travel... not just to bowl games but to all road games to get on the radar.

But how would the school have any control over leaving the SB? Not like we can say "well that sucked I'll go try my luck in CUSA".

The fan base will revolt but knowing that two more eastern teams that put more butts in seats during the season will most likely be eligible, the fan base should expect to not get picked short of winning conference or winning 9+ games. I still don't think 8-4 gets us anywhere as long as UL, stAte, GS, USA, Troy, and/or App St get eligible as well.

If I am a little off on numbers someone can correct me but if I remember right 7 bowl eligible teams were left out last year and this year Inthink there are 3 more bowls. That should basically put virtually all bowl eligible teams in bowls even if we have more teams in the Belt than our guaranteed 4 spots
