RE: The Apocalypse has cometh!
I'd like to see beer sales for first half only, only in season ticket seating.

The waitress asked if I was a member of the club. Club? I looked around and then told her I thought I was in a public restaurant, not a private club.

She said it was a public restaurant but for me to have a beer I'd have to join the club.

Okay, I'll play. How much to join the club? $15.00

How much for beer? $3.00

Well, then, bring me a coke with my dinner.

That's how Jonesboro works. Though for many places, there's not a charge, you just simply sign a membership list.

Mínimum age to buy alcohol in S. Louisiana is if you're tall enough to put your money on the counter.

Just as an FYI. Dry ice will keep your drive through daiquiri in decent shape for at least five hours.

Why in the world woukd you hold onto a daquari for 5 hours? That's why its a drive thru
1. Driving.
2. Save one for later.

I guess I take for granted they have them on every other corner around here. Drink one, then stop and get another.

But... but... they put that tape over the straw slot so it is no longer an open container. It is impenetrable

Not around here... They don't do that anymore, they just can't put the straw in it for you

God bless Louisiana.

The best part is that they open at like 8 am.

Can you actually get intoxicated on daquaris? I think I'd throw up before I could drink enough to get a buzz.

Gotta throw you a couple extra shots in there and make sure you get something with an everclear base... You will feel ok. I can't do more than 1 though because it's too sweet... But I make that one count.

Intended as road game advice.

Extra shots.

But they are much better if you freeze them a bit so that you need a spoon. As a regular slush they get gruesome unless you really like sweet syrupy stuff.

True story, before the town of Boone passed liquor-by-the-drink in 2009 (allowing mixed drinks to be sold), preacher after preacher went to the public forums to condemn it. Then an old lady told the town council if they passed it, "the blood of our children will run in the streets".

Seems like the vote always occurred during the Summer or Spring Break. I never understood the resistance. It was more dangerous for college studendts to go to Blowing Rock to get liquor drinks and making the dumb decision to drive back on those curvy roads vs. being able to walk home from a bar in Boone.

So far we've been told clearly that we are going to be costing innocent lives to make a few dollars.

I fully expect to hear that Satan himself is having an unnecessary influence on the AState administration, and we will all be doomed to hell because of this.
