I called and made my first payment towards my pledge today. I'm not going to give anyone an excuse to not do the right thing. All this hair splitting and debating what "reinstated" means does nothing but strengthen Ray and his ilk.

Same here. Got my year one invoice, but want to see contract signed and a plan before I send my first payment.

Go Blazers!

I'm with you on this opinion. I see a lot of "not until [insert demand]" on the facebook page. I understand the frustration, but just given the opposition more and more ammo. This dragged out period of time with no visible ground gained appears to be a tactic. Are people falling for the bait or is withholding pledges until whatever actually doing good?

Maybe President Clinton had it right. We are asking what the definition of "is" is.

I just got a phone call that mine was invalid and I had to resend it -- because I added a line that I would double my donation if Ray Watts was fired, resigned or dead by June 30, 2015.

Some poor schmuck is having to call all these guys telling them their pledges are invalid because of these unnecessary additions to the pledges.

Now that we have a firm date for playing football again, I'm convinced.

Writing #FreeUAB on a pledge is not an "unnecessary addition". It's a comment, freedom of speech, an expression of opinion, which in no way alters or invalidates the pledge. This is the administration playing petty little power games.

Who said anything about free UAB. Calling for the death of the president of a university is an unnecessary addition.

I find it pretty amusing. He just gave them a third out.

Yes but back to Band Dad's point which is still valid. All pledges that had #FreeUAB were rejected. Glad you feel better getting that off your chest though.
