It's turning into an arms race, and like it or not the "Big 5" will win, and drive everyone else out...including EZU. They will demand larger TV contracts and bowl arrangements. As they do this, business decisions will be made to cut back everywhere else. Unless you are part of the Big 5, the money will dry up. It will basically be legal blackmail.

People said that 25 years ago too. Hell Steve Logan said the BCS would be the death of ECU and the "have not's" while he was coach and their were more top 10 teams from the have nots than ever before in the BCS era and it in fact gave access to the major bowls that they didn't have at all prior. Fact is things have never been better for ECU in every way as they are right now. Hell even the playoff system is soon going to be opened up to 8 teams so realistic access is there along with a access bowl as well with probably an even easier path to get there than from the SEC or somewhere.

The ECU's of college sports are just as screwed as the rest.It is all about the money and the Big 5 have it and are taking measures to make sure it stays that way.
