Maybe they factor in resources, what you do with what you have. Those P5's behind us underachieve considering their resources.

I would've thought somewhere in the 60s or 70s.

Now I'm thinking they forgot us. Or we're No. 42.

They started with No. 128, so the only way they've forgotten about GS is if they've doubled up on another team.

My best guess is that they're banking on GS winning the Sun Belt again and possibly picking off WVU. It's not the most likely thing, but we'd be a top-25 team if those planets aligned and we finished 11-1 with a second perfect conference run. They'd be able to pound their own chest and talk about how they saw it coming.

Again... That's not my prediction for the season. Just a possible justification for why we still haven't popped up in the rankings. GS is a pretty safe bet to go bowling and could easily win 9 games again if we stay healthy and play to our potential. Picking one upset and a high ranking is a low-risk/high-reward strategy for the Orlando Sentinel.
