Football Feeling is in the Air
I am up in Boone, NC this week and it is in the 70's during the day and supposed to be around 58 tonight. Feels like football season. Dang, I can't wait until my Apps suit up for fall camp.
Found this video and thought some of y'all might enjoy it. Got to find anything football to get me through the rest of the summer ! 04-cheers

Early season in the south is brutal.
I remember in the mid 80s, we played at Ole Miss. The heat, sun and aluminum bleachers were almost unbearable. People were passing out everywhere! All the paramedics were busy!

Just missed you, was up there from Saturday, June 26 to Saturday July 4th. I don't think it got above 80 the whole time. There were two afternoon rainstorms we got to watch from the cabin porch. It was even cool enough to have an early evening campfire for the kids to roast marshmallows.

Highs around 93-94 85% humidity, makes it feel like 102-103 and you can cut the air with a knife. Very pleasant

And, being from the SC foothills, I do kinda miss that type of fall weather.

They die off about November (Depending on the temperature sometimes early December) and resurface around late February

Well, one thing I can say for the south Midwest is that the heat isn't too bad because its dry heat. When I was in boot at Ft. Sill, I didn't mind it...and I was a bit surprised. Florida, on the other hand....

I thought they just moved indoors for the winter. . . . Or hibernated in BEC . . . .03-lmfao

Yeah, but aren't you located in "Corpes Crispy", where it will be 90 degrees with 78% humidity?

It's been a relatively mild summer too... so it probably won't be as bad as years past..

It's why I'd kinda like to get an Oregon type school to come to Texas for opening day with a 100+ degree day and 90% humidity... Just to watch folks wilt.

I'm glad we get Western Michigan the second game of the season in Statesboro.

Honestly? I'll be watching that game for the folks in the stands passing out... That part always cracks me up when northerners don't know how to deal with it.

It's a 6:00 kickoff so maybe it won't be too bad. Still, it'll be warm and the gnats and humidity alone will most likely be an adjustment for them Michigan boys.
