I've never actually been able to watch a game on the Network, but the CUSAers assure me the production quality is very good.

yeah, I would gladly take espn3 over that easily.

I've heard through sources that if you have the really, really awesome Sports Package on Direct or Dish with like every sports channel known to man kind. (You know, the one that costs like a hundred bucks a month) than you can find it on one of their alternate channels by utilizing the search function on your remote. Provided it's not raining or snowing or something and your dish isn't out of signal for the time being.

I mean, they have their own halftime studio!

Obviously you do not have Direct TV or have not had satellite in a while...Watched just about every CUSA game last year on TV, yes TV not some streaming online feed that cuts out half the time...$100 a month is a fairly large exaggeration for real price of $13 a month...

your internet must suck if your espn3 feed cuts out half the time.

You only pay $13 a month for direct tv? That's awesome man.

Nice smart ass, $13 a month for the sports package in question which a poster said you have to pay "$100 a month" for to be able to watch CUSA games...Half of CUSA games are on you know regular TV channels most people have...Direct TV is way cheaper than what I was paying for cable TV and the quality is 100 times better than anything I watched on cable..

$82 a month and have every channel I need, when I add sports package, will go up to $95, however still reasonable for me considering 3 years ago I was paying Insight $150 for poor quality and less channels....

Perception about satellite also going out any time it rains is also wrong...Yes it goes out occasionally when there are strong winds, but not as frequently as you would think...

So people bad mouthing satellite do not have a clue..

Maybe more, but ESPN is a National Station in 50 states, every city, and all cable providers. What percentage will go online to seek different football games 10%, 5%. 1%, fact is you could have 0.01 percent and still have more viewers on ESPN 3 then you would have people watching the ASN network.

An average of 3,000 people watched the MAC games on ESPN3. Here are the numbers for UAB games on ASN.

Alabama A&M at UAB 408,300
FIU at UAB 268,600
UNT at UAB 213,800
UAB at FAU 314,500
LA Tech at UAB 456,000
Marshall at UAB 255,000 (limited availability. 200,000 from Birmingham market alone)
UAB at USM 397,000

Sure, you can't watch it in Bumpfuckt, Egypt but it is certainly a lot more exposure than an online only broadcast.

If these numbers are correct, then I have to agree. we keep talking about exposure and recruits, like these players are getting online or turning on the roku on Saturday night to watch sun belt team A vs Sun Belt team B. Hell I don't even watch them unless it's my team. What is the viewership of the SBC espn 3 games anyone?

I would like to see your sources? You took one of the top media markets compared that to MAC average viewership on ESPN 3. Teams that get 4,000 for average attendance per week.

If you got the MAC numbers I am sure you got the Sunbelt average numbers. I want to see where you see these numbers
