Where did you see this? God I hope this isn't right.

I've heard we were traveling to Washington State and UTEP. Heard we were finalizing a game with PV also, but assumed that would be in San Marcos. Though we played them in SM last year so maybe this is a return game. Are McNeese and Corpus coming to San Marcos next year? I feel like Southland teams should be coming to San Marcos to play, not vice versa anymore.

Kaspar needs to win 20 games this year, build some self-confidence in his own team, then schedule with some bigger balls. We haven't had a decent non-conference game in San Marcos since 2012 when we had SMU and Utah. It's been brutally boring since then.

Until we get better as a league, we shouldnt turn our nose at playing southland on the road... We are all 1 bid leagues.

You are exactly right. Once BB season starts I will be glad when it's over. Hopefully we can get someone in here to rebuild this mess.

Yea, we'll play them in every other sport.

But the trajectory is headed up for UTA and TXST. ULM seems to be back to some form they used to have. If the two Georgia schools can keep some semblance of this past year and the Cajuns stay the course, that's going to be quite a competitive league. App can't get worse after the mess their last coach put em in (and actually looked good at times), I expect more from Little Rock and Troy is a wild card. I have high hopes for USA based on their past, but dont really know what to expect there. Arkansas State seems to be the only true mess, so Id say Belt basketball should improve next year.

Our women's schedule came out a couple of days ago . . . Am hoping this means the men's schedule will be out soon . .. .

It is what it is, money given to basketball has dried up, and administration isn't going to give a floundering program a dime until they can entirely reboot it. Thus we have to take 3 money games a year, and Brady has to grab home and homes with SWAC and MEAC schools just to ensure we have enough OOC games. We got a legit home game with NDSU, but unfortunately, not many know about their recent success because they are not a name program, so fans wont understand why they beat us by 15 when they do.

Mess doesn't even begin to describe it:

Our best player and potential preseason player of the year in the league has something seriously wrong to the point that our entire Athletic Department is worried about his health. No one is sure if he will play this year. Everyone else we are getting back pretty much struggled last year as JUCO transfers and have a short time to figure it out. Recruiting Class was filled with guys averaging 6 to 7 Points per game in many cases, fans no longer care, no one is sure if the coaching staff cares.

We're just playing out the string...Brady's last year, contract runs out and then the true test of the Terry Mohajir administration begins. Will he be willing to throw money at a sport to make it better to make up for lack of fan interest?

TMo has managed to get money donated to football after it started to show life. His big test is to get money for a sport that looks like a catfish that's been out of water for hour.

Would like more non-conference opportunities, but also support that all teams play all teams. Don't like teams not playing each other. I see the need in football, but don't like it.

The only way to increase the conference nationally is scheduling more OOC games against good teams. Twenty conference games makes this very difficult. We need to add a good basketball/baseball school and split into two divisions. For basketball, you do home/home with division foes and single games against the other division alternative home games each year. I think that puts you at 18 conference games. JMO
