GS @ ULM: Somewhat long road trip against team that has a tough defense that tends to get overlooked and underestimated. Should be motivated and looking forward to the game, too.

GS @ Troy: Ask any Georgia Southern fan what type of offense they'd least like to face and I think you would say it's a passing offense that runs at a fast pace. Troy might need to do some rebuilding on the roster but what they do offensively is definitely our kryptonite. We can make passing offenses look better than they are. This one could be a shootout.

Red Wolves come off an extended layoff after back-to-back Tuesday games and have a short week ahead of them for a Thursday game at App. Panthers come off an open date but without the player routine jarring weeknight games involved.

Oregon is out of conference.

I'm gonna say our game at Georgia State. Last year we played them in the perfect conditions to shut down their one dimensional offense. This year, in perfect conditions in the dome, they'll put up some points on us. I think we'll outscore them, but I think we'll have to score 40+ to do it.

that was my top pick as well. Close second would be New Mexico State---the end of the three game road stretch, I expect the Aggies to be much more competitive and improved and depending on how both Red Wolves and Bobcats seasons goes, could be a trap game.

agree about Georgia State, the timing of the game isn't good, its right before we start that tough stretch with Georgia Southern, ULL, and Ark State, easy to overlook them. I don't think we will have to put up 40 to beat them, but wouldn't surprise me to see a close game late in the 4th.

Yeah Georgia State for sure for AState. Not only is it right after the USA/ULL Tuesday stretch that Arkstfan brought up, but its 5 days before we travel to App State, in a game we certainly are going to be looking forward to. Panthers nearly beat us in Jonesboro 2 years ago. Major Trap game.

I also think USA is a scary situation for us. Road game on a Tuesday Night, right before we face ULL. The only advantage I can think of is that Mobile is very familiar to our team, so it's not like a trip to App, where we'd be learning the city for the first time.

I dont know how I read this as OOC. We are likely screwed IN conference. I mean we shutout Washington for a half and lost to AF by 10 and then got raped by GS and App.
I will go ahead and say GS since everyone expects us to lose by 40.

Depends on the situation for GS. That's an end of season game, so if the Eagles have a lot to play for, I don't see them overlooking you guys. Could be an advantage though if they've just had a title shot ripped away from them, and get caught looking ahead to the Cure Bowl.

I have noticed this! Strange but GSU's best football has been played vs P5's.

As to USA, I'd say the USA-GSU game is gonna be a shootout and I'll be there to witness it whatever the outcome.
