Could be. Have friends that have been associated with you, see that you're not some sort of wierd cult, and have them support you in your move up. Whatever angle works.

No matter who posts it, the numbers are the numbers. 82% of an athletic budget from student fees is on the higher side. Entry fee of 2 million, at least 20 million to upgrade the stadium and the becoming compliance in men's and woman's sports is going to be tough. That's before you add in COA.

Liberty has the money, facilities and most importantly a supportive administration wanting to join the SB. Everyone knows why they aren't being considered.

Well considering who asked it and his school's motives, I am skeptical. Also considering the mistruths in his post, makes me even more skeptical.

They are not the worst offender in their state by any metric, not by total $/student or percentage of the athletic budget.

The writer in the article states they're the biggest offender.

Great, so neither you nor the writer are able to differentiate between which numbers are greater than the others.

True or False, is 1200 greater than or less than 1250?

Here are some of the numbers, you can decide for yourself. Last year student fees made up 82% of the athletic budget. The budget was 22.3 million and student fees brought in 18.3 million. The article I linked states Coastal is the biggest offender in the state of SC. Going FBS will require several more million being added to the athletic budget. Where will that money come from? Student fees paying for athletic budgets is a hot topic right now. VA just placed a cap and there's movements in other states to do the same. I'm not sure how Coastal posts for the move.

I guess I'm not as averse to a private institution as some, having enjoyed the rivalry and history we had with Furman. I wouldn't be opposed to Liberty, hey you don't have to like them. Who in the SEC other than Tide fans like BAMA ! if anything if they're a bunch of bible bashers, and you don't like that, well then that's another reason to want your team to beat the slop out of them. Who cares what they believe, that's their business. So often, those who preach intolerance , are themselves in their own special way intolerant.
Anyway, if given the choice between Coastal Carolina and Liberty(if they were a choice which they're NOT) I'd take Coastal.

Some serious sour grapes here. So if Liberty can't get in, we'll bash anyone from the Big South trying?
