Not just TXST, this is Six Flags in Arlington, TX (UTA territory)

Austin is flooding, storm moving NE towards Arkansas.

We had this flooding last week. Fortunately, no deaths. The water heads towards the Gulf but water from upstream is rolling our way and flooding everything along the Nueces River. We won't get any of the water from SM. Different river system.

Flooding in San Marcos, TX...
Lots of flooding in Houston last night after 5-8" of rain came through. I'm sure Louisiana got hammered too.

Wow. I live near Westhiemer and Montrose and it was pretty bad. Not any flooding in my neighborhood but passed 9 abandoned cars on my way to work in the Galleria area.

That picture was on another site. I don't make crap up. If it's inaccurate it's not my fault. Don't shoot the messenger.

My old fraternity house got about 5 feet of water in it. This is the 4th time it has taken on water since 1998, but this time it was the highest it's ever been. The house is located off Blanco on a high bank or what some would call a bluff. I estimate it to be 35 foot in elevation from the Rivers normal stage. Anyways lots of damage to the house and several neighbors nearby.

RE: Flooding in San Marcos, TX...
Got real scary in Cedar Park yesterday when the tornado sirens started going off. San Marcos got hit with tornadoes two days after trying to recover from the deadly flooding.

Austin too got slammed yesterday. Check this video of Austin ISD Football Stadium House Park full of raging water with a trapped individual under the scoreboard.
http://www.twcnews.com/tx/austin/news/20...-park.html

Saw the rescue happening live since I was glued to my TV all day long yesterday.

Rough day yesterday. Still folks missing. Sad to hear such tragedy and to see the area where I spent 4 years of my life (Wimberley is 20 min down the road from San Marcos and Blanco another 30 min further down. Vista these areas many times during my tenure at TX St. Taught camps there too) be faced with such devastation.

House Park is one of the AISD stadiums. Nowhere near San Marcos or Wimberley. It's in downtown Austin. My kids went to RRISD schools but they (McNeil HS) played several games here over their years while my kids were in HS Band. It's at 15th and Lamar. Fifteen blocks from the river but not far from Shoal Creek which floods at the drop of a hat.

That photo is of the Scream Machine @ Six Flags in Georgia. I think it was 2009 or 2010 when that park flooded.

Right. I know, I work in AISD and as a band director, attended games at House Park.

just pointing out that all of central TX got slammed this weekend.

Also, Blanco had a tornado TD this morning. Never ends.

Was just adding info for perspective on the enormity of the area affected.

8 of the missing in Wimberley are from Corpus. All from the same family (multiple generations). They were at the elder parents vacation home along the Blanco. They found 1 of the men today. Still searching for the other 7.

(Their homes here are not very far from mine)
