That would be my first choice as well. Now, if it is about adding another viable football program sooner then later, Liberty is the only one in position to do it in a reasonable time frame. Unfortunately too many people will be opposed to them based upon their own ideology and world views. If that is the case, and we know it to be so then stop with the Sun Belt Conference cheers of "Together we rise" or "We are all in this together". Because if its not about improving your conference and more about politics, lets stop lying to each other about making the Sun Belt Conference the best it can be for the future.

Coastal/ U mass makes more sense they are a good travel partner for APP.
Fly to Myrtle Beach and bus to APP St.
Fly to GSU and bus to GSU I know it was lazey.
Fly to Mobile and bus to Troy .

Makes for good travel when you can play where you land.

Football only schools bring CFP money which can pay for travel plus .
JMU,MSU ,EKU and CCU all need time or convincing why leave money on the table.
I know the stated goal of twelve all sports goal means Idaho and U mass will eventually move on.Now the school to be paired with U Mass needs to have plans for football.

How does the West work?
Fly to ULL bus to ULM
Fly to UTA bus to Texas ST
Fly to UALR bus to Ark ST
That would be my guess easy travel for Olympic sports is a big goal of the conference.
Football doesn't use travel partners.

I reject the options as they are not the only choices.

I don't think the numbers in the three big sports establish that Liberty is a great addition unless we are pulling the trigger in the next 8 days.

FWIW, a bus from CC to ASU is 4.5 hours...Liberty to ASU would be 3.5 hours.

Add NMSU Olympic sports now. Drop Idaho football soon. Then do nothing for a couple years. Of the FCS in the South, Liberty and JMU has best chance of becoming competitive in SBC. Wait and see what happens with UAB then assess.
