Exclamation Former UVA QB, Corwin Cutler, Transferring
Reserve quarterback Corwin Cutler of Virginia Beach announced via Twitter that he is leaving the Virginia Cavaliers.

In his message, the former Ocean Lakes High and Fork Union Military Academy player thanked fans "but can't stay somewhere I'm not wanted."

Corwin is a 6-foot-4, 200-pounder who has spent two years at U.Va. ...

He had offers from ECU and a few others out of HS but I don't think we recruited him.

I don't believe there's any way at this point that Jimmye looks for a transfer quarterback.

Cluley and Mosley made big progress this past spring and it would appear we're set with the two of them for this fall.

Greyson Lambert is transferring too. This could be a coup.

So, if something should happen to their starter, we could face their #4 QB? Sounds good.

Lambert must be a really bright, really hard working kid - to graduate in three years with two years of eligibility remaining. It will be interesting to see where he turns up.

That's their third this off season right? They lost one back in January if I remember correct.

The cavalosers have taken their well deserved moniker to new depths! I know all about coaches who specialize in running people off; but your co captain! Not good for recruiting all those wannabe's who long for UVA.

I don't think this is anything more than kids wanting a shot to play. There is only one starting QB and a few depth guys want that opportunity elsewhere. That's how we ended up with Paulus, Dykes, Tamakloe, K. McBride, and a hundred other players. Players departed W&M for the same reason. I guess we're losers, too.

I agree with Tribal. As for Lambert, if Jimmye had a chance to take him, it would be a no-brainer. No question at all.

Lambert is eligible immediately at the FBS level with 2 years, so, you won't see him in FCS.

He's a huge QB from Georgia. He may end up at GA State.

The rule for kids like Lambert is that they can't transfer to another ACC school OR ANY TEAM ON THEIR UPCOMING SCHEDULE.

That rules him out , if it was ever really possible, from coming to W&M since we're on their 2015 schedule.

Lambert for his career: 55.7% completion, 5.9 YPA, 11 TD, 13 INT. I know UVA's offense has been a dumpster fire but yikes.

Sure, but that's before W&M gets to "coach 'im up".

You shouldn't bait me into making a joke that will get me flamed for not being positive. It's not polite.

Cutler's decided not to transfer after all.

Just for fun, here's the average yearly stat line for UVA QBs and W&M QBs from 2010-2014:

W&M: 172-307, 56% completion, 2118 yards, 6.89 YPA, 12.8 TDs, 7.6 INTs, 122.79 QB Efficiency Rating
UVA: 261.2-454.4, 57.5% completion, 2918 yards, 6.42 YPA, 16.6 TDs, 16 INTs, 116.44 QB Efficiency Rating

I do not want Lambert but is this a new rule? Mike Paulus played at UNC in 2009. We were on UNC's 2010 schedule. Paulus transferred in in 2010 and played against his former team that year.

Transfer terms are case by case and usually made by the school granting the release. There is no set rule.

It is probably nothing but two of our more prominent coaches just followed Kamara, a sophomore WR from UVA who apparently wants to transfer. UF fans want him badly.

Kamara is from the Tidewater area. We may offer him just what he wants.
