EDIT: I thought they played Cincinnati this year; so maybe not the toughest, but I still think it'll be much tougher than the usual 4-5 Sun Belt teams they usually play.

Totally agree

I too don't see Navy cruising through this lane quite comfortably as they or you all here think.

I've repeated myself over over and over, the AAC is a solid football conference and Navy will soon get a taste of it.

Temple returns a ton of starters. They are the darkhorse conference title contender IMO.

I don't know how it will all go down, but when you play Temple you better be ready to fight. You are not gonna roll that team.

At 117 out of 125 you don't have anywhere to go but up. Not something I would brag about....

Our QB was hurt all year and our likely starting RB was out all year with a back injury.

You were 107 the year before. Sorry that argument doesn't hold water....

You are mad

Nope just have 20/20 vision and can see for myself that Temple football isn't a top level program.

Not saying it can never happen but I have not seen anything to date to justify them being ahead of not just UH but other teams as well.

Uh, neither is Houston. Keenum isn't walking through that door...

RE: SBNation AAC power rankings
Temple do struggle with scoring and aren't the greatest at pulling away.

However, they are pretty well-coached and are one of the tougher teams in the conference to actually break down. The important parts of the Temple defense will return and they should be a top 40 or so unit nationally.

5th out of 12 is a very accurate guess, but I don't think they have enough offensive firepower for an AAC title game appearance.

We're completely rebuilding our offense. PJ is healthy. Zaire Williams is healthy. Our WRs and TEs are better than what we had last year.

No he isn't but I challenge you to find a majority of people (non UH/Temple fans) that think Temple football today, in the past , or in the foreseeable future is better then among many schools UH.

This isn't a slam on Temple hell even though I am as confident that we will turn things around under Sampson I would never (until we prove ourselves) think we were above or even on par with Temple basketball.

Don't take my posts as homerism (even though I will admit I am)...

Just don't think any person could justifiably put Temple that high on the list.

Put it this way it is putting the cart before the horse. It's akin to putting Memphis up there before last year. Can Temple be Memphis this year? Sure anyone can be Superman in a given year but until they show anything other then the mediocre football they have shown us they don't deserve to be in upper tier.

Should Memphis fall back to the pack people will say 2014 was a fluke based on recent history.

Hope that explains it enough for you.

Oh and you seem to have glossed over this whole part of my statement.

Yes, I think UH is better than Temple but I didn't say anywhere we were the only one listed below Temple that is better.

Keenum isn't, but Greg Ward is 6-2 as a starter including wins in a bowl and vs one of the conference co-champs, as well as blowing out Temple going 29 of 33 on his passes with 2 TDs and add in 44 yards rushing.

Did you already forget him?

We have the all time series against Cincy. Does that mean we should be ahead of them? That's just ridiculous Cougar High logic.

Name one thing Temple has over Houston. Anything. History, facilities, postseason success, rankings, impact on the sport, anything. I'd say I'd wait for your findings, but I won't fool myself into thinking I have that kind of time.

Isn't that exactly what power rankings discussions are?
