Cajuns Softball captures Sun Belt Regular season Championship
With a Ragin' Cajuns doubleheader sweep over ULM Saturday afternoon and after South Alabama's split at Troy the No.10 Ragin' Cajuns Softball team captured the Sun Belt Conference regular season Championship.

The Cajuns (37-8, 20-3 Sun Belt) claimed the program's second consecutive SBC regular season title and 13th in the 15 year existence of the league.

Jordan Wallace (15-4, 2.07 ERA) struck out 13 in Game 1 and 4 in Game 3 increasing her career strikeouts total to 866 which puts her in 2nd place in school history passing Ashley Brignac (862).

The home run production increased the Cajuns' season total to 97. Louisiana eclipsed 90 home runs for the second straight season (90 in 2014) and moved within 3 of reaching 100 for only the second time in school history (102 in 2006).

The Cajuns are losing their 2 Senior pitchers, Wallace and Hamilton, for next season but their entire offense will be returning.

The Ragin' Cajuns were ranked in the top 10 the entire season.

Congratulations to the Ragin' Cajuns girls for this accomplishment, especially being without Head Coach Michael Lotief towards the end of the season. Good luck in the Post Season!

The Ragin' Cajuns were ranked in the top 10 the entire season which is difficult to do.

Not really, but they deserve to be congratulated. They did have some adversity this year with Christina Hamilton fighting an injury all year and Jordan Wallace not being at 100% most of the season. Also, they had to play without their Head Coach for the last month or more, especially for the away games. Lotief helps keep them calm and gives them confidence.

If Coach would have been with them at Oregon, there's no way they would have blown game 3.
