That video was awesome. I hope Watts has trouble sleeping at night.

The local media interviewed the player. He said he had no intentions of dissing Watts, but he was carrying his helmet in his right hand and couldn't shake his hand. Should have placed the helmet in Watts' hand instead.

How would that show up on a resume? This was a civil protest and stood for what he believed in.

I can totally see the player writing "wouldn't shake Ray Watts' hand at graduation" on a résumé...The only place that wouldn't hire him for that in this state is the U of A.

They made a documentary about what happened at UAB. '4TH Down' is 48 minutes but they shortened it for a festival of some sort. Here's the 11 minute version. The whole doc will be released at a a later date. Waiting to see it in its entirety.

I'd hire him in a heart beat. THAT is EXACTLY the kind of person I want working for me. That stands out as a positive. I do hire and fire people in my line of work. That guy will be a loyal employee and understands the meaning of FAMILY. he also shows commitment and dedication. He will also go the extra mile for you when others will not. (I actually know more about him than the regular joe)

It's really easy to say that you would hire someone for standing up for what they believe in... Until they stand up for something you don't believe in. If this guy was standing up and speaking about he believed what happened to UAB was the right thing, I'm pretty sure most would feel differently.
