I always use http://www.WalterFootball.com for my mock drafts and such... Guy has a really good amount of data there.

But he's a bit confusing for USA:

He's got Wes Saxton listed as a 3rd-5th round prospect, but going undrafted.

He's got Brandon Bridge listed as a 6th-FA type prospect, but going in the 5th to Kansas City.

Go figure.

Mocks are always confusing. Last week there was one that had Saxton going in the 2nd round to Green Bay. I don't think anyone is taking him that high, but he was too impressive at the combine to see him slipping totally out of the draft. Bridge is another case.

Team needs, trades and who is available at what pick determine so much of the draft.

If UAB is booted from CUSA which is looking likely no matter the study. I don't see how they get an FBS team by 2016. If UAB is rebooting the football program, I think the Sunbelt should offer them a landing spot. Take advantage of their basketball and have football added when Idaho is given the boot. Allows UAB to build the football program the right way and provides SBC the Birmingham market.

I subscribe to a scouting service and Sexton is listed as a 6th round prospect that will probably go higher. He is described as H-back/Tight End type that the new age NFL likes. The description on Brandon Bridge is "has all the size, speed and arm strength you could ask for in a quarterback prospect. Throws a lot of incomplete passes, just doesn't appear to have the football player in him yet." He is a project with upside, which makes it hard to determine where he might go. Probably a free agent.

Texas State CB Craig Mager is being projected to go in the 3rd/4th round by this scouting service.

Looks like I owe Louisiana 99 a big apology. The draft results are complete, and while you cannot have a direct correlation of NFL players to great, and good college players we the SBC came in last in the G5. Still looking over this source I found that TxSt was first in the SBC with two, UL with one draft.

But depth seems to be the truth, as we find Notre Dame, Perdue, Pittsburg, Ole Miss, Wake Forest, and OK State had one draft choice among P5. I am pretty sure all the SBC teams would be betting dogs against those teams except maybe Wake Forest.

A few notable multiple draft picks not in the P5. TxState 2, disbanded UAB 2, Fresno State 3 (Saints took one).

Source..... http://www.sbnation.com/college-football...ng-ratings

There are a few errors as Tulane was reported locally to have two but I see one on this chart.

Looking over the draft contributors there are some strange sights. A horrible Kansas with 3, a stud program Boise 1,.

Clearly NFL draft does not equal one on one with program success as there are numerous anomalies to record, perceived power, and actually number of drafted players.
