We understand you're frustrated. But we NEED for you to understand that life goes on while you're frustrated. You're like a helicopter parent on here. JMU is doing the best they can to move up, but instead of accepting that you keep telling them they're not good enough. No matter what goes on beyond moving up to an FBS conference doesn't matter to you and seems to infuriate you more. There are some of us that can deal with the fact that JMU (mainly Rose for turning down CUSA and then the BoV for turning down SB) has made some bad decisions in the past, but that they're working their hardest. Every thread that to other schools would be good news (great recruits, outstanding academic recognition, conference championships, etc) for some gets instantly spun into a thread about the failings of our administration about not being in a better football conference.

I just don't understand the thought process. What do you all get out of reading and posting on these boards? That's an honest question that I would like answered. No matter whether it's good or bad news it seems to make you angry. You ruin every single thread on these boards with things that have nothing to do with the thread. You have already driven many of the most diehard posters off of the boards. You're making our school look like a bunch of whiny idiots that can't focus on more than one topic at once. I doubt the admin come on here anymore since all coherent discussion died long ago. This message board is for people to come on here and discuss current events happening with JMU. We create multiple threads because there are multiple things we would like to discuss. If all we wanted to talk about was JMU not being FBS, we would only have one thread. In fact, that's what the Newest Conference Rumors thread is for...so everyone has a chance to complain in once place about the CAA and not being FBS without infecting every single thread on here.

I've heard differing stories on whether the BOV ever even got far enough down the line to vote against the SB. I was under the impression that they basically made it well known to the admin that it would be denied so there was no point in even having a vote. Anyone know the real answer to this? I was also under the impression that the admin and the BOV were on the same page regarding the belt in that neither of the parties thought it was a good fit so I'm now hearing that it actually got to a vote. Just curious what really went down.

Just my opinion - the administration knew it had the opportunity to pursue the SB but concluded it wasn't in JMU's best interest to do so. Because of the enormity of the decision, the administration went to the Board in closed session and gave it the opportunity to weigh in. The board declined to overrule the administration's conclusions.

OK not to jump in but I can't stay quiet anymore. Spamming is more about the CONTENT of the message and not about the quantity, if the message is unwanted then it is spam. Therefore you are spamming, you are flooding EVERY SINGLE freaking thread with your hatred at the administration for us still being in FCS.
We get it, we share your pain and frustration but we don't want to read about it in every single thread. As many others have pointed out the boards are becoming unreadable because of posters taking over every thread to complain about FCS. I am rather new to these boards and I am nearly ready to jump ship and stop reading because of posters like yourself. That is very sad that you can run off people like that. Yes I post about my frustration as well but I don't do it in every single thread and very single post. I try to post in the proper threads and make sure my posts are adding something to the discussion, not just the same constant hate we already know.
I will ask very nicely, please confine the conference realignment talk to the proper threads and allow the rest of us to enjoy positive news and information about JMU sports. If I had known my post about Logan Blake was going to stir up this much drama I never would've posted it.

We understand you're frustrated. But we NEED for you to understand that life goes on while you're frustrated. You're like a helicopter parent on here. JMU is doing the best they can to move up, but instead of accepting that you keep telling them they're not good enough. No matter what goes on beyond moving up to an FBS conference doesn't matter to you and seems to infuriate you more. There are some of us that can deal with the fact that JMU (mainly Rose for turning down CUSA and then the BoV for turning down SB) has made some bad decisions in the past, but that they're working their hardest. Every thread that to other schools would be good news (great recruits, outstanding academic recognition, conference championships, etc) for some gets instantly spun into a thread about the failings of our administration about not being in a better football conference.

I just don't understand the thought process. What do you all get out of reading and posting on these boards? That's an honest question that I would like answered. No matter whether it's good or bad news it seems to make you angry. You ruin every single thread on these boards with things that have nothing to do with the thread. You have already driven many of the most diehard posters off of the boards. You're making our school look like a bunch of whiny idiots that can't focus on more than one topic at once. I doubt the admin come on here anymore since all coherent discussion died long ago. This message board is for people to come on here and discuss current events happening with JMU. We create multiple threads because there are multiple things we would like to discuss. If all we wanted to talk about was JMU not being FBS, we would only have one thread. In fact, that's what the Newest Conference Rumors thread is for...so everyone has a chance to complain in once place about the CAA and not being FBS without infecting every single thread on here.
You're raising your own blood pressure and anger level. You're ruining the boards for everyone who wants to have an actual discussion about JMU. You've made the boards unreadable for the admin and other schools. So...why do you keep coming here? Seriously. I just can't understand why you take pleasure in ruining your fellow Dukes' experience on here. Even Oduh fans don't troll as hard on these boards as our own fans do.
