# 25 Seahawks @ Hofstra
Cardiac Hawks do it again!!
Time to get a quality non conference win now. The UNCW/UNC games always seem to be nail biters, and that's been our style all season. Get it done Hawks!!

Other D-I Streaks:
* Illinois's game was cancelled today. Their streak remains the longest in the nation at 13.
* Alabama St. finished their series with Alcorn St. on Saturday. Their streak remains at 12.
* Norfolk St. won today, their streak also remains at 12.
* Dartmouth swept a doubleheader over Brown, so their streak now matches ours, at 10.
* Cal State Bakersfield currently trails Sacramento St 5-1 in the 6th. If they lose, their streak will be snapped at 9.

RE: # 25 Seahawks @ Hofstra
We are now 28-8 overall with an RPI of 25. Reasons we moved up in the RPI, in addition to our sweep over Hofstra:
* ECU took 2/3 on the road against # 33 UCONN
* Maryland took 2/3 from # 35 Cal St Fullerton
* Tulane took 2/3 from # 46 UCF
Our Strength of Schedule has moved up to # 96 in the nation. This despite Hofstra being # 213 in the RPI.

Lastly, here's how we're looking in the national winning % standings:
1. Texas A&M: 35-4 (.897)
2. LSU: 34-6 (.850)
3. Illinois: 31-6-1 (.829)
4. TCU: 30-8 (.790)
5. Dallas Baptist: 29-8 (.784)
6. UNCW: 28-8 (.778)
UCLA: 28-8 (.778)
8. Florida Atlantic: 31-9 (.775)
9. Nevada: 30-9 (.769)
Louisville: 30-9 (.769)
11. Charleston: 27-9 (.750)
UC Santa Barbara: 27-9 (.750)
Missouri St.: 27-9 (.750)
Florida: 30-10 (.750)
15. USC: 28-10 (.737)
Hopefully our continued success will show up better in the polls this week. D1Baseball.com had us 25th but none of the other 4 major polls ranked us last week. USA Today gave us the 33rd most votes in their poll, and we were considered in others.

One could argue that the CAA is that bad. The Hawks & charleston are the only teams in the league w/overall winning records.

RE: # 25 Seahawks @ Hofstra
Yep, the CAA is the 14th ranked conference, and that's only the case really because of us and Charleston. W&M and Elon are just barely in the top 150 of the RPI, Delaware is 187th, and everyone else is in the 200's.
Our non-conference schedule has been quite good of course. We've played 13 of our 24 non-conference games against top-100 RPI teams, 7 of those against top-50 teams. Coming up we're scheduled to face # 24 UNC twice home/road, # 39 Coastal, and @ # 90 Campbell. Not to mention the series @ # 34 Charleston. Those games will help us boost our SOS quite nicely.

The games we missed due to weather probably didn't help either.

RE: # 25 Seahawks @ Hofstra
Based on how the teams did ahead of us, we are very likely to move up a few spots in the D1baseball.com poll: http://www.d1baseball.com/rankings/how-t...5-fared-8/
# 24 UCF went 1-3; # 23 Nebraska went 2-2, and # 20 UC Irvine also went 2-2. We might check in at # 22, one spot behind Maryland and 2 spots behind Dallas Baptist.
One downer is that Coastal went 1-2 against Radford at home this weekend and are 6-5 in April. I was hoping our game with them on the 28th would be a battle of two ranked teams but they're not holding up their end of the bargain.
