The Disney Store at our local mall is chock full of Phasma helmets and action figures. Somebody in merchandising wasn't paying attention in the briefings. Or there's a hell of a lot of Phasma on the cutting room floor...

I feel bad for Gwendoline Christie. Initially it looked like she'd get a chance to make something of Phasma, and then bam...forgotten for half the movie. Literally trashed toward the end.

I don't see the reddit/imgur obsession with Daisey Ridely. I found her character neither memorable or attractive.

Just like with Jurassic World, the movie was visually appealing and entertaining. However, it lacked the whimsy and mystique that the original brought...or maybe I'm just not a kid anymore.

Memes aside, I hope that interesting characters continue to emerge in this new Star Wars trilogy. Have to hope that Phasma gets her redemption before the end; the subtle fan-service is hilarious as well.

Finally the stars aligned just right & got to see Star Wars. Wasn't disappointed. It is still selling out. Can't wait for it to be available on blue ray.
