With deregulation for football championship games the simplest thing to do would be to boot NMSU & Idaho and remain at nine for football, which is the perfect number for a round robin foottball schedlue. Add three more non football schools - two in the east & one in the west - for two divisions all other sports.

The Lafayette College Leopards in Easton, PA and members of the Patriot League will have a problem with that, as do we. (How many times has ESPN confused our logos?) While for most schools with a city tag, using only the city tag makes sense, e.g. Charlotte, Milwaukee, it doesn't work for us because of Lafayette College. No, our athletic reference remains LOUISIANA.

You won't find a post critical of adding App State, or Southern Georgia other than growing the conference too quick with FCS.

Still as I said we need to quit adding every rat hole team. I am sure you will love playing Eastern Kentucky and watch your RPI plunge. Forget the Access Bowl if we add teams like this.

The last quality FCS school IMO left is JMU, and they ain't coming. Others might be some quality once the conference solidifies but they are totally out of the footprint.

And of course let's not forget the basketball powerhouse and football cupcake Ga State. We needed football teams and we got a basketball program.

NDSU is the only FCS school worth adding IMO, but geographically they don't make sense. They would compete in the SB in football, and have made 2 consecutive trips to the basketball tournament, with 1 first round victory, even though almost everybody has forgotten about their first round upset already.
