Just in a stirring mood today? LOL 05-stirthepot
I like the projection too; but waaaaayyy too early. We've still got a lot of work to do, and if only 1 SBC school gets in; then bring your big boy pants to the conference tournament!!

Cajuns will finish 3rd at best for the regular season, but I feel like they can definitely outlast us and South Alabama in the tournament with better pitching depth.

I think the projections are going off of the 2014 juggernaut. 2015's team is a lot more vulnerable. I see the only way they make the tourney is for them to win our tourney.

(still a lot of ball to play. things can change)

The Cajuns have a shot at an at large, but they will have to finish very hot down the stretch. Otherwise, they'll need to win the conference tournament to secure the automatic bid.

For what it s worth, the article says we are at the half-way mark of the season. I do agree with the poster above, we need to finish really strong to get an at-large.

Nice article, some good publicity for the Cajuns and the conference, but I wouldn't go crowning anybody just yet. . . . .

The way this race is playing out, there are any one of 4 to 5 teams that could represent the SBC . . .

. . .. Still a wide open race

As of now, this is a one-bid league with that bid going to the tournament winner.

Cajuns probably best shot to get into at-large range but they have to get their RPI up about 25 spots or so.

We aren't helping each other out by everyone continuing to lose more than they win mid-week.

I'd say more like 7-8. Only teams I feel like we could maybe rule out are App, stAte, and ULM.

You haven't even quoted the quote correctly. That invalidates it.

Women. You remind me of my X, except without the pitchfork and boiling water.

Okay, so it has been said, so it shall be done.

Close enough?

Clearly you haven't watched "The Ten Commandments" very much.
"So it shall be written, so it shall be done."

so, no, still wrong and, therefore, shall not come to pass.

(get over it i'm just having fun here)

The take away is, yes, the regular season crown is wide open. However, the projection is that the conference tournament champion will be the only post season bid. So, you're really talking about something different.
