Glad we are getting some wins tonight. Ga. Southern just has been a disaster in the midweek this year. Sorry we haven't helped the conference RPI very much as we can't seem to beat anyone in the midweek in non-conference games.

I have no sympathy for you... We havnt won a mid-week game since Feburary

We have to get rid of Jones IMO. He's dragging down the program with his mismanagement. Jones is in his third year and App had lost 33 games where the team was tied or had a lead after six complete. Compare that to 12 games won where App was tied or trailing after six complete. Out of those wins, 8 were in 2012, 4 last year and 0 so far this year. The losses are 8 in 2012, 15 in 2013 and 12 so far this year.

We got shelled by North Carolina in Chapel Hill and got shelled by South Carolina in Columbia tonight. Last year we lost 2-1 to then No 1 ranked USC.

Two weeks ago, after blowing an 8-4 lead in the 8th at home to Wake Forest and losing 11-8. Jones said the players need to look at themselves in the mirror and decided if they want to do this or not. Took 0% of the blame. But after wins, he always mentions something the coaching staff did. A real leader takes blame, even when it's not his fault. He's not a leader.

The talent is there. We've seen great play. We just can't win under Billy Jones. He leaves in pitchers too long, then replaces them at the worst times, encourages players to swing away (so many one-pitch outs) and discourages chatter and fun, among other things numerous parents have complained to me that he does. And we're stuck with him for two reasons.

1) New AD Doug Gillin's first full day was Monday.
2) Interim AD signed Jones to a 3-year extension through 2018 in September. We still have no idea why.

So unless someone wants to donate 315k for App to buy out Jones' contract, he's gonna be coaching the team next year.

Also, the Apps have had 17 errors in the last 5 games. That includes no errors in the win over Troy on Saturday. 10 of those 17 are coming from the left side of the infield, both of whom are seniors. There's been whispers of a divide between the Pollard-recruited players (the seniors and some of the juniors minus the transfers) and Jones
