NIT merchandise
Does anyone know if either the Book Store or Campus Shop (or other) produced or may be selling any merchandise noting the CAA season or NIT logo? Tshirts, etc.?

RE: NIT merchandise
I was in Campus Shop a week or so ago and saw nothing. There were a bunch of leftover CAA Reg Champs teeshirts and a dozen or so #3 football jerseys. The manager said he probably won't order more jerseys because they don't sell. It's possible CS will no longer order speciality items.

If they sold Nike gear/Nike jerseys, they would sell. A school sponsored by Nike, without any Nike gear to purchase at the official campus shop is somewhat ridiculous

I believe our "official" store is B&N. B&N is the only vendor permitted to sell merchandise at W&M events.

I seem to remember the owner saying something similar to me at the tail end of the #34 jerseys, so who knows.
Would be a shame if we lost any way to get replica jerseys. I love the auction jerseys, but the authentic jerseys are not designed for Joe Blow fan to wear to a game.

My experience with The Campus Shop has been good and they have had some items B&N did not and they will have more vendors which are all have license agreements with The College, than B&N. Either store The Tribe gets a $ or two from all sales. True, The Book Store is the only outlet allowed at game sites but I bet they pay a fee for that exclusive right.

In the 20-Year-Plan or whatever it was called, the Campus Center was to be demolished and a new building built. This replacement building included a "Spirit Shop." Lets hope this will be independent of B&N and have officially licensed authentic jerseys, etc for sale.

RE: NIT merchandise
A B&N rep at a fb game last season told me CS gives no money to W&M for merchandise sold. CS only pays for a licensure agreement.
Either way, $55 for a screen print jersey with no name is unreasonable. W&M needs to sell quality Nike gear and stop it with the UA, Ralph Lauren, and Adidas stuff.

That's a little misleading, I think.
If you are paying a license for the logo, it is going back to the College.

Ehh.. let's be realistic.. a legit Nike non-screen print jersey is going to cost more than twice that, so I don't begrudge the $55 price.
And we'll never get names on the jersey.

I wear my auction jersey. I only bring it out for the big games. It did okay in 2009 until it had to face the arctic temps of Villanova, PA.

They just don't fit well, at least the ones I have which are somewhat newer. They're designed to fit over big pads, but then be tight fitting on the edges.

55 for a jersey is a pretty fair price. If it's a college jersey, it'll almost never have a player's name. Even if the player has graduated, it's rare for a school to sell jerseys with their name on it, and only the big schools tend to do so. Obviosuly you can get custom printed jerseys with names, but those are different.
I agree that more Nike gear would be nice, I'm a sucker for those Nike shirts with a school slogan in that generic Nike font, I wish we had some of those.
Like these:
And Nike does make them for smaller schools, here's a few

I stand marginally corrected - but those still look like screen printed?

... I was just saying Nike non-screen print would be over $100. Somewhat surprised by the price of the JMU ones, but for a school with our following I don't have a major problem with he pricing at the Campus Shop.

If George Balanis is still the WM football Nike connection, and someone can get to him (possibly through the QB club), that may be the best play. Not a guarantee but if anyone can make it happen at Nike, "the godfather" can.
