Realistic Expectations for BBall Next Year?
As a diversion to all of the depressing Watts and football stories on here, I want to pose an interesting question. Assuming no significant defections of players or coaches, no major injuries, and that we remain in CUSA next season, what are your realistic expectations for the Blazers for 2015-2016?
I can safely say I think we should be at large worthy team (if we don't win the CUSA tourney) and be able to win a game in the Big Dance.
What do ya'll think? Too conservative? Too outlandish?

Our team goals should be to win the conference, have a resume worthy of an at large selection, and win at least one game in the NCAA tournament.

Our guys should be the dominant team in our conference.
We have GOT to get another scorer, preferably a legitimate low post juco big man. As good as Foz or better, preferably a Gabe Kennedy clone that can come in and anchor the middle and demand the ball in the crunch.
We really need a perimeter defender, a 6'3"+ wing with sticky fingers.
If we get those two things, and Brown stays healthy, the wild card is Jerod Haase. Haase will have all the tools needed to go 11-2 out of conference and 14-2 in conference, and earn at at large bid.

RE: Realistic Expectations for BBall Next Year?
I think it'd be a lot like last year conference wise except without dropping some of those games to bottom half of the conference. OOC wise, I'm confident they be a tough out for a lot of teams out there. I think the guys should be able to draw an at large bid next season, and I also believe that C-USA is capable of being a multiple bid conference next year.
I know it's a broken record for every college basketball team, but we need interior size that is an offensive threat.

Ray Watts will not attend any games.
If Haase either signs a replacement for Washington or Sullivan ups his game to play the 4 spot in Washington's minutes, we will be very good.

I suspect UAB will have to win the C-USA Tournament (if that is still our conference next season) to get a bid to the Big Dance. C-USA is not a multiple bid conference. I do believe UAB will be very good next season.

I understand LA tech is graduating a lot of seniors. Is ODU as well? ODU was in the first 4 out I though.

I want to say I think our team should be a sweet 16 caliber team, but I don't want to set expectations too high. A lot has to go right and fall into place for that type of run to happen, regardless of talent.

I too think we are in the NCAA Tourney next season. I agree with Western that we will go from the hunter to the hunted which is a different feel for a team. Next season, we are going to get other teams best shot because of us winning the tourney this past season. We get a solid player to replace Washington and this team will be very good. It will be interesting to see what the non conference schedule looks like for next season. I am very excited about basketball for next year.

This. From what I've seen the past few weeks they should be able to handle the transition just fine. I expect that Schlesinger will put some muscle on Lee. Should be fun to watch next year.

Enough for them to still be good. Tech has 3 consecutive 27+ win seasons. They won't turn to crap with a few graduations.

UAB and MTSU have the most returning. Marshall is close, but probably not up to contender status yet.

I saw a tweet yesterday saying Hayes and Millinghaus are transferring from Southern Miss. I didn't know about Richmond transferring from MTSU.
