1. The Cyclones are resilient.

They didn't invent the comeback but they sure are perfecting it, especially as of late. The Cyclones trailed by 75 points in their last five games combined and have gone 5-0 during the stretch. They fell behind 17 against Kansas before going on to down the Jayhawks 70-66 on their way to a second-straight Big 12 tournament championship this past weekend.

Since 1907, Iowa St. has made 20 postseason appearances:

17 in the NCAA Tournament
3 in the NIT

ISU NCAA Tourney record is 16-16, NIT is 4-3. Iowa St. is making their 5th straight appearance in the Dance.

[b]Since 1978 (UAB first year of basketball), the Blazers has made 26 postseason appearances:

15 in the NCAA Tournament
11 in the NIT

UAB NCAA Tourney record is 9-14, NIT is 14-11. UAB is making their first appearance in the Dance since 2011.
