Congrats Hampton
Kudos to Hampton for completing a 4 game run to win the MEAC and punch their ticket to the Big Dance...

A lot of post season men's basketball to be played by the the state of Virginia:
NCAA - Virginia, VCU, Hampton
NIT - W&M, Richmond, ODU
CIT - JMU

Good stuff!

7 of the 14 D1 teams. That is a good percentage.

I can't get excited for Hampton, they were a sub-.500 team who plays in an awful conference. Don't get me wrong, they did what they had to do, but I'm guessing they're not one of the top 200 teams in college basketball.

Are you advocating a Tribe move to the MEAC?

I am not, nor the Patriot or any other scrub conference.

Playoffs should go back to 16 teams. Don't need 20 to find the best team.

I agree with this fully. 16 always seemed like the perfect number to me

I think where it stands at 24 is okay. Top 8 get a bye week, and you have enough to get a few schools from the power conferences in each year. The top 1/3 of the MVC, CAA, and Big Sky in many years can go toe to toe with anyone. There is ebb and flow to who is dominant, but with a bigger field a team who starts slow can overcome a few losses. Think Georgia Southern the year we played them in the 2nd round.

And that's the exact reason I want to see the field cut down. The less things that remind me of that loss the better.

Until your #17

I am going to actively campaign to get the Tribe into the MEAC.

Tribal's sense of entitlement disgusts me.
