No. We were arguably the best defensive team in the league, but I think our system gave a lot of players chances to get takeaways. Only one, Talley, stands out individually for us. No way you can take out Tarpey, Eatherton, or Lee to place him on there in my mind. Dalembert was a huge reason JMU shared the reg season title so I couldn't take him off either. And I think Quincy Ford, from limited time watching him play, is one of those guys whose play doesn't always show up on the stat sheet. But if someone wanted to make Talley that 5th guy instead of Ford I wouldn't argue too strongly against it.

Don't see any flaws. First team does reveal the problem with the CAA this year. NO big men. And no, I don't consider Tarpey to be a big man. It also reveals the problem with UNCW. Big Ced a pre-season 2nd. teamer, not even close to third team. Disappointing,

We play a fast-pace offense so opponents get a lot of possessions, inflating our defensive PPG numbers.

At the players' banquet in Baltimore. Should be Thursday night.

There is no banquet this year. They're being announced through a video tomorrow night at 7.

Not to give Yeager the benefit of the doubt, but I'm hearing there's bad weather on Thursday. NJ, for instance, is in a state of emergency. So the teams might not be getting in until Friday, unless they're already there.

Apparently it was a decision made NY the ADs. The teams that play on Saturday would have to go up a day early. And most coaches didn't like doing the banquet.

Gotcha. Yeah, I don't like Yeager for a lot of reasons but I won't beat up on him too much for this decision. I hope the banquet comes back next year, however.

It doesn't make much sense for the Saturday teams to complain much about it; there's always been teams getting a bye who had to show up a day early for the banquet. I guess the fact that 6 get byes rather than 4 means those AD's have the majority vote now?

You had the major awards right. Tarpey and Curry did not make the first team though. Green and Eatherton did. I am ok with Green, not happy about Eatherton.

Damn, I did pretty well didn't I! Haha.

I'm glad Freddie made the all-Defense team despite my prediction that no one from our squad would make it. When a team leads the league in turnovers forced, it makes sense to put a Senior on there who was among the CAA leaders in steals.
