What an exceptionally, dominating run of championships.

It is sad to see it come to an end, but 13 CAA championships in a row was something our Men's S&D team should be very proud of. What can't be understated is the pressure they've had on them for sometime (and in the future) that their program may not last. Through all of that, they battled and brought UNCW 13 straight CAA championships.

Let's all just take a moment and appreciate that.

Side note: Congrats to the WM men's S&D team for earning their first ever conference championship. Their time has been coming for quite some time, as they were always a tough competitor of the AquaHawks.

It was an absolutely stunning run of championships. Had the program not been in danger of being cut the streak could very much still be alive as many of the swimmers transferred to W&M and other programs as they did not want to give up the sport.


Nevertheless it was another great season for both the men and women. To only slide to third with a coaching change as well is remarkable.

No UNCW swimmer transferred to W&M. Every one of our aquatics experts came to W&M out of HS. Nonetheless, UNCW was a dynasty in the water for over a decade.

I stand corrected then. I may have misunderstood a few of the swimmers last year when talking to them about this, as I know they lost talent but it may not have been to W&M. But as you said they were a dynasty, and congrats to your mens team on breaking it.
