Yemi dominated in practice, and dominated in the closed scrimmage. He scored, rebounded and defended very well.

RE: Big Ced....now is the time!
Accusations from TN that he was aggressive sexually with a girl he was starting to date. No charges pressed, but he was found responsible in student conduct court that his attorney advised him not to attend since he was transferring. With all the focus on sexual assault on campus, an article was published in TN that mentioned him along with a football player who had really done something very wrong. UNCW didn't want to take a chance, and Yemi hadn't disclosed the student conduct court findings when he applied here.

That's my understanding.

I don't know that he's done for sure. But it doesn't look good. It didn't help that when all these athletes were getting in trouble for domestic abuse, she resurfaced with an interview with, I believe, USA Today.

Well,at this point we are one over the scholarship limit next year. That is to say, effectively his scholarship has been given away. He will have had the time to graduate.

The whole thing seems very unfortunate.

He averaged 8 minutes per game at Tennessee and had 1 start. He's from Nigeria, and much like Chuck, Yemi didn't start playing basketball until he reached the High School level, playing first at Oak Hill Academy and then transferring to Word of God.

Do you really think he wouldn't be able to score in the CAA? You've trashed this conference in the past, and Yemi was a pretty highly regarded SEC recruit. He didn't work out there but all indications suggested he'd be a good player here if given the chance. Chuck has started to come along as a role player in his Sophomore year. I imagine Yemi would contribute as well.
