So what are the standings now? ULM and GS in first and Georgia St. in 2nd?

FINAL UALR 92 Ga. St. 83-- Didn't see this one coming but it leaves ULM and GS now tied for 1st.

FINAL Texas St. 67 Troy 61. Big win for Texas St.

Technically that would put GSU in third

Apparently, all those injured 3 point shooters for Arlington were healthy today. I kept hearing about this heavily injured team from FormerUTASportscaster, but alas Outlaw, McClannahan and that stupid Freshman PG all showed up.

Thankfully, UTA had no idea how to guard Anthony Livingston...who scored 31 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, including the game winning stick back with 15 seconds left.

At the moment, Southern. They win all tiebreaks with you guys by virtue of a win over Georgia State.

UALR followed the blueprint to beat GSU. Launch threes and their players could not miss tonight. They were literally shooting 2 feet from behind the arc, it was ridiculous. These were contested shots too. 14 for 30 from 3 point land. Wow. No team is beating a team that hot from the 3.

And to clairfy, I don't think its possible for ULM to win any tiebreak with Georgia Southern. If they both win out, Georgia Southern gets the 1 seed by sweeping Georgia State. If both of you lose to Georgia State, we have a 3 team tie, and the Panthers win that with a 3-1 record against you guys.

Tiebreak Scenarios:

Both ULM and GS win out: Eagles 1 seed by virtue of Sweeping State.

GSU wins out. GS and ULM both lose to GSU: Panthers 1 seed in 3 team tiebreak. Eagles two seed by virtue of win over Panthers.

ULM beats GSU...but lose to App or Texas State, Eagles lose to Georgia State: GS is the 1 seed in all likelihood because ULM would have losses to App or Texas State

In theory, only Georgia Southern and Georgia State control their own destiny for the NIT berth and 1 seed. ULM needs Georgia Southern to lose one.

J Hill may be our best defender and he is a good floor general. D. Charles is a good defender and good floor geberal and had (don't know if it is still current) the best 3-point percentage in the conference. Neal is a great PG, especiallyt for a frosh, Outler can be a three machine, and Lonnie is too streaky, but can be a great slasher. We are stacked at guard, but miss those guys.

And somehow God's gift to basketball loses by 9 to the 6th place team, but hey, at least the last place team didn't sweep you. Hopefully God's other gift to basketball loses Saturday night. This message board would be very entertaining if the Lafayette's got swept by the newbies.

Getting swept by the first place team is not nearly as entertaining as getting swept by the the last place team... Could you imagine? No really, can you imagine it?

Good news for ULM GaSo comes to town to play a hot UL team but who knows what to expect from the Cajuns.

Well, that one brought the team back down to earth a bit. We had no shot against that barrage from beyond the arc, so props to UALR. If that's Isom's job as a roleplayer, then he seems to be great at what he does.

Need to rebound (literally and metaphorically) on Saturday so that those final two showdowns mean something. I like that we still control our own destiny, but that can slip away quickly in this league this year.

All three of us (GS, ULM, GaState) have very interesting end of season scenarios. Will be fun to see play out.
