RE: Recruit Updates
I think Keatts pretty much got the maximum out of the abilities of our 3 big men this past season. I'm really interested to see what our freshman forward Cacok brings to the table.

You can't serious,I think you are a pretty smart guy.
Gettys lost some weight, played terrible.Chuck does not have a clue and seemed lost 95% of the time and other than a few blocked shots was a zero.Williams is the classic senior who just had a miserable year and was not used to his skill set at all.
Keatts needs to hire a coach that can work with bigs.

Wow...
I don't even have a response to this. You would think we finished with 5 wins in the conference after reading that. LOL

Remember CG, mullet was not at the games and has never been to a chalk talk or lunch with the coach to see first hand what anyone really did. It'd basically his old hit and run tactics. Afterall, he is invisible.

Chuck is a Sophomore who has barely played much basketball in his career. I thought he was an effective rebounder down the stretch, particularly in the Charleston and Northeastern games in February. I think next year will be big for him.
This was a very guard-driven offense so I see no reason to complain about the results.

Not to mention, Cedrick still has one more game left. If he plays like he did against Charleston in the tourney (19 pts, 13 boards) we'll win. Period.

RE: Recruit Updates
Have to agree with the Mullet here. Our bigs were awful this year. If we had any sort of inside game we'd have won the conference outright, and several more games all year. Not impressed with CJ at all so far.

RE: Recruit Updates
Maybe those who are not satisfied with what this team accomplished this year should go ahead and jump ship
One of the biggest turnarounds in NCAA history is not good enough. No matter the outcome of this game tonight, why don't we just celebrate a fine group of overachievers? Next year will be a totally different team.

Are we talking about the whole team or the bigs? Cause' I have only spoken about our post players. Get all emotional and foolish if you want, but our post play was awful. The reason this is relevant, is that we will basically have our same post players, minus Ced. It's a weak spot. Yemi was a difference maker, but he's gone.

Teams with "awful" post play don't finish tied for first. I'd say pick a better adjective.
Cacok and I believe one of the incoming transfers are bigs, so we won't be devoid of talent next year in the front court.

RE: Recruit Updates
The bigs were worse than awful, more like pathetic.Sometimes you have to take a step back to see the whole picture.Get better or get better playersing to play inside.I don't see the guys here now play as having improved at all this year. Some of that is system and most it is development or lack of it.Hire a coach that work with bigs if you are staying with the guys on the roster. How did they play in the last 5 games as a group?

I noticed that Northeastern has three Freshmen coming in that are 6-9 or taller. We'll definitely need to find some bigs by next season the latest.

Here's the box score. Evidently the "C" in "C.J" stands for Clarence. http://beachballclassic.com/Portals/0/st.../2015b.htm
He got the start and had 13 pts (5-12 shooting, 2-6 from 3), 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 0 turnovers and a steal in a 106-93 victory. A very efficient day for our incoming freshman.
For what its worth, Luke Maye, who also started alongside Bryce at one of the other forward slots, had 15 pts (5-12, 1-6), 12 rebounds, 1 block and a couple turnovers.
