Kris Findley, our legislative lobbying leader is keeping a hard count of those folks who have made a firm commitment to join us for our Rally on the State House steps in Montgomery on March 10th. The number of folks that have committed is growing, but even with the students added in we are still not comfortable that we will have a good showing for the legislators.

If you could make the necessary sacrifices (and we know for many it will not be easy), please make the commitment to join us below and we will add you to our count. [/align]If you have already told Kris that you are coming, please note this so we don't double count you.

How is the bus situation looking? Is the NAS helping transport the FreeUaB Riders?

The NAS has stepped up for one bus and we are planning to have an additional bus or buses. The priority order for bus seats will be any band member who want to go, then students in general. If there are any seats left they will be made available for the rest of us, but we are hoping that the students will take up most of the seats. So we should be prepared in advance to car pool should the need arise. We will issue specific information on when and where as we draw close to the event.

For those who don't get a bus seat- just carpool - it's only an hour and 20 minute drive from uab.
