You get it, 65. If we bump a colleague, whether we intended to or not, we acknowledge the situation and apologize. Common respect.

I'm confident Tribe fans would expect and even demand a level of respect from our players. If Omar pulled a Spruill, I would write to our program and voice my displeasure for his conduct.

Plus 1

Apologize & it could all go away even if he did it on purpose.

RE: UNCW
I actually think Tony has it right. There has been no mention of it at all by the team or the coach. The game was bitterly disappointing to UNCW players since they missed dozens and dozens of shots including multiple layups and a dunk. We can only hope they continue to shoot poorly if they play us again. If that team could shoot 40-45%, they would beat anyone in our league. Given how our defense has played in many games since(allowing teams to shoot over 50% in some cases), the UNCW shooting performance that night was legendary. Will be interesting to see how things shake out in the W&M-Towson and UNCW-JMU games tonight. Big difference for both between 1-4 in seeding. Overall, the Tribe needs to try and avoid Delaware at all costs.

I'll give credit to Spruill on this, he made a lot of shots against us in Williamsburg and he made plenty of big plays on Saturday to help UNCW beat Towson. Would have been nice for him to turn back and stay sorry or "my bad" when he bumped Shaver. Most likely Spruill wanted the last shot and Keatts called something else and he was frustrated. UNCW got a lot better look than Hofstra did Sunday.

I know the Tribe has been Delawares b!tch throughout the teams history, however I would love to see them again in the CAA tournament. Bottom line, UDel isn't very good this year. We should beat them. If the Tribe loses to them 3 times this season they would have no business in any post-season tournament. A tournament victory over Delaware would also serve as a binaca blast for the bad taste halitosis that was the finals loss last season.

I don't know. To me it looked like he was just PO'd at the end of the game and really didn't even see Shaver until he ran into him. The camera cut away immediately so it makes it appear worse than it was, IMO.
I agree, if it was a premeditated move, Shaver would have said something post game and Tribe players would have jumped in. Nice video catch though. I never saw that live. The only postgame dick move I've seen this year was when the Wofford coach didn't shake hands. It was Wofford, wasn't it?

I think I agree with MrJ. I think the whole thing was an accidental encounter. After all, it is not unusual to "bump into" somebody a bit hard on the Basketball court.

I watched it happen on TV and thought it strange, but not a big deal, it all happened in a flash. The whole post-game process of all of the coaches and all of the players forming lines and racing towards each other in a faux show of sportsmanship has gotten a bit ridiculous, at least IMHO. At that point, everybody involved is in a "rush" to get it over with and get back to the locker room. To suggest that the UNCW guy would "target" Coach Shaver is making too much of this incident.

Let's hope that the coaching staff has quietly made the point to Spruill and he has learned from the process. If he has it will have learned a behavior that will go long way toward being successful after basketball is over.

Yo, fellas, you have a game against Towson tonight. Enough with your chatter about the Seahawks. Time to get your game faces on.
