Sheldon's Ankle
This is a third or fourth-hand rumor, so I'm just asking ...

(1) I think I saw on the (2) Hofstra message board a reference to a tweet from (3) Josh Legette saying (4) Shaver said on the (5) Hardly Working sports talk show in Richmond today that Sheldon may be out of tomorrow's game due to an ankle injury.

Not asking for any inside scoop; just wondering if anything has actually been announced.

RE: Sheldon's Ankle
Tony does say at the end of the interview we will probably be without Sean tomorrow night due to an "ankle issue".

RE: Sheldon's Ankle
Well, we have some back-ups.

Didn't see much mentioned, given all the other buzz about the Northeastern game, but Tom Schalk played some decent minutes and I thought very well. I had to check my scorecard to see who it was.

RE: Sheldon's Ankle
I'm bummed hearing about Sheldon. I really thought he had a break out game vs. Northeastern and was hoping he would build upon it.

That being said, as SB points out we do have talented backups in Schalk and Whitman. They are capable of having breakout games of their own against a high quality opponent like Hofstra. With the competition for playing time inside heating up let's hope they step up their games to bolster their cases.

Sheldon's Ankle
The other guys have shown well. Will be tougher if we are without Sheldon on Saturday, but our depth is showing today.

Hopefully Sheldon will heal for Saturday, but being in a boot doesn't look good.

RE: Sheldon's Ankle
Jack and Tom will be well tested for the tournament. These minutes will help us in the long run. Also, if we run the table at home, we can split the road games and still win the regular season. As much as we need to get two out of the next three, my expectations are lower than that.
