USA replaces UAB with SDSU
South Alabama has completed its non-conference football schedules for the 2015 and 2016, adding a home-and-home series against San Diego State to fill the void created when UAB dissolved its football program.

I thought for sure this was South Dakota State, but then I remembered you guys alreaddy have an FCS opponent. SDSU is a good get. Mid to Upper tier MWC, its a winnable game, and one that would improve the league's standing in the G5 rankings.

No pressure or anything.

I'm the opposite-always think San Diego State before North Dakota State

That's a solid home and home series.

That very large Rapid City market is what won it for them.

I see 1-3 start and then room for only 2 losses the rest of the season in order to be considered bowl worthy. I think our schools should be a little smarter when making up these schedules with an eye toward end of season positioning. maybe schedule games against nebraska when the program is a little stouter..

Well pull out your crystal ball and tell all of us if Nebraska is going to be a little stouter 3 or 4 years from now. The smart thing to do is scheadule more win able OCC games. It is a better pickup for USA than having to go to Knoxville to replace UAB on the Vol's scheadule.

Football OOC games are scheduled years in advance. There is no way of knowing what a school is going to look like at that time.

When Arkansas State scheduled this Missouri series, the Tigers were coming off a 5-7 season with two SEC wins over Vandy and Kentucky. By the time we played them the first time they were a top 10 team, and they'll be top 20 entering Jonesboro this year.

USA is scheduling a reach schedule. I'm good with that. I would hate to have a season like Marshall and be left out of the access bowl discussion. I don't think USA will be that good next year, but NC State and SDSU are winnable

I think you would be glad to have a year like marshall where you won nearly every game and were ranked for a while and everyone was talking about you. the year they had will turn into a better recruiting class for next year..

Im glad you don't think of North Dakota State when you see SDSU. I'd actually be a little worried.
