South Alabama away will be tough for us, but one I'd like to get as they pummeled us last year.

Home conference games is tough to chose: Worried about the UL and stAte games as they will probably both be looking to avenge this year. However, we have won 7 out of the last 10 against Georgia Southern and they beat us good one time and think they are our daddy, so looking to put them back in their place. Hoping for a game similar to the Wofford Black Friday massacre on Halloween in 2008 when Wofford thought they had something. Sorry Georgia Southern, no offense.

I applaud your spirit, but seriously doubt that you'll beat Clemson at their House . . . . Best of luck though . . . .

Mario Willingham and Chad Henne say hello...

I think the most important game next year is the Georgia Southern game because of the timing of the game, last game of the season, could decide a bowl game, or maybe even the conference championship. Also, App better be ready for Arkansas State and LLU, they are going to be out for blood in those games, if we are not ready, we could get embarrassed.

ORLY? Do you know something nobody else does?

Bro the Trojan football program has been around for like 7 decades compared to the Jags program that only started up what... 5-7 years ago?

There is no kinship between the Jags and Trojans, just 2 schools in the same state.... We are on equal ground now. Nice write up though. I agree that it would be nice to upset NC State at home. We could flip some bandwagon fans, I also think we need to beat SDSU.

Arkansas State has really had our number in football. 2 close games and the recent blowout. It would be nice to finally return the favor. 04-cheers

It will be nice to play a game at our other home stadium for the 5th straight year. By the way, the number we have on you is nothing like what we have on ULM. We've won 5 straight against them, and many have not been close.

Agreed. We probably have a better chance of beating Alabama again this year than stAte. We are your Troy. We OWN the Trojans.

For the Cajuns, I don't know whether the LaTech or Kentucky game will be the most important.

Clemson loses 3 starting OL, all 4 DL, 2 LB, 2 CB. If their QB isn't 100% early in the season we may be able to hang around for a half. They are bringing in a top 5 recruiting class though, glad we get them early.

I hope we get GS and USA early this year as well. Those are two teams that should be much better by year end than the first half of the year.

I agree. I think the first weekend will be huge for the Sun Belt Conference. I think these games against P5 schools on the road in the first weekend are very important:

ULM at Georgia
UL at Kentucky
Troy at NC State
NMSU at Florida
Georgia Southern at West Virginia
Texas State at Florida State
Arkansas State at USC

These games will be nationally televised and presents a great opportunity for the Sun Belt Conference to show the country that there is some good football being played in this conference.

Of those, I could see UL as the most likely win. Georgia Southern or Arkansas State maybe?

We hung with Clemson in 97 I think when they were #18 in the country. I believe we were tied at half or something and ended up losing by 11.

My opinion only. The Kentucky game would be a good win, and just our first against the SEC; but the LaTech game is more important within the state for various reasons. Recruiting, perception, etc. Hopefully we are better prepared this time around! Last season was embarrasing!! And the one game I was able to drive in for. 04-cheers

The only things missing here are bone/fossil evidence of Big Foot, and a Ga. St defense sighting.

it's always a great to beat an SEC team (Even if its Kentucky) but I would definently think considering that La Tech has so much history with the Cajuns and especially the way the game went down in Lafayette last year, that would be the game both the squad and fanbase will be anxious for

It's certainly a game that I have circled on my calendar. It'll be a very hard fought game between two teams with high aspirations for the season. We'll both have new QB's to go along with lots of other new faces. Throw in the fact that we pretty much hate each other's guts, and you have the makings of one heck of a battle in Ruston this year.
