RE: RPI Forecast
My buddy Matt called that sh*t from a mile away during the Drexel game. He hadn't seen a game in person for a while but said Spruill looked like the best player on the court and a potential star. This is the kind of breakout season we haven't seen since, what....TJ Carter?

In CAA-only games Spruill (18.3 ppg) trails only Damion Lee (21.0) and Thornton (20.7) in scoring. That's crazy.

His body type makes him a terrible match for any coach trying to build a scheme on us. He has good vision, can shoot, and drive and finish. Having a drive and finish dual threat from him and Freddy this year has made a significant difference.

The best part, is the last couple games I think have given Spruill a gigantic confidence boost.

Not to mention, he has turned into a stone cold killer at the FT line. Give him the ball at the end of the game with leads, and he'll close it out. Also a TJ Carter specialty.

I Hope it isn't going unnoticed that two of our Senior starters are products of the Wilmington area. Spruill from Pender county and Freddie from Wilmington. With the new scholarship rules counting the full cost of out off state tuition, in state recruiting is vital to the finances of our program. There are really good players in NC, and Keatts has to watch our local area closely. Not to mention, what a thrill for the player to break out like they have close to family and friends they went to high school with.
