That's awesome (if it works out that way). Finding a coach like Clark, a man of faith, integrity and who is a proven winner is really difficult for any program.
He was able to do so much more with what he had than any other UAB coach. Not only was he the right hire for UAB in the short term, but a coach that will build UAB Football into a championship caliber team.

RE: Could Bill Clark end up at ......
I'm not inclined to embrace that possibility, either. The first time I met with Coach Clark and asked him (in April of last year) had he met any BOT members since signing on as HC? His response was no...I thought at the time, that was rather odd, but he didn't seem fazed by or concerned with it, all he wanted to do was hit the ground running and help his team enjoy early success, which, damn it, he did. One of my favorite pro wrestlers used to use the line, "everybody's got a price." IMO, Bill Clark is the exception to that rule when it comes to...#Them...He's ours! Damn it, we're keeping him!

Friends don't let friends get screwed over like that! I'm inclined to embrace this possibility. "I can work for you but you couldn't put in a good word for me with our bosses?" That would definitely change the dynamic in most friendships.

In the same way don't think Clark would even entertain an offer form UAT. I think that Clark may be willing to take another job but only if its the right fit. I'm holding out my hopes that he has faith that all of this will be worked out sooner than later.
I've been on pins and needles for weeks since this went down, hoping that our Football program will be restored and that Coach Clark will be the man to lead them.

I'd love for him to get the job and get all the evidence needed to sink the tide from the inside

Strangely enough (because I haven't always thought of Saban that way), I think that is probably true.

Clark won't land in Tuscalousy for the same reason Mike Anderson didn't.
Would you give the same group of thugs TWO chances to dick you over?

Also, because Saban is a control freak. He's not gonna introduce an element he cannot control, namely the UAB controversies...

forget its at UAT for a moment Coach Clark is looking for a mid major head coaching job or perhaps a coordinator at power five for HIS career advancement. Otherwise he should wait for something better to come along since he is still on salary.
A position coach would be a big step down

I hope some of those bills by Rep Williams pass the Alabama Legislature otherwise it will be just a repeat of the last decade. The BOT forces a loser coach on us and approves no upgrades to the facilities. Then let the apathy build once the losing records start and pull the plug again.

I'm not 100% sure we're out for 2015, but if we are, hopefully he would coach a "transition" club team in 2015.
For now, let's see if we can get him to "coach" a team in the Alumni game...

We are done for 2015. 2016 is our only hope, we need to start recruiting ASAP. Things need to start happening in our favor and quickly!

I believe the 2015 "off" year gives Coach Clark and remaining staff the ability to recruit further out and see more recruiting candidates that may not be on the other Universities' radar screen. He may be able to attract some real talent and coach them up like he did with the 2014 team.

RE: Could Bill Clark end up at ......
Question, assuming we are off 2015, which looks likely, when we recruit 2016, would be able to sign more by pushing signings back to the 2015 class, like colleges do with early enrollment players? Or, would we be stuck with signing 25, or whatever the yearly limit is?
