Down by 3 after first half. Beat them by 20 in the second half. Defense allowed 22 points the second half. Good DEFENSE! Offense scored over 40 the second half, too.

RE: FIU Game Thread.
Nobody is going to want to face UAB in the CUSA tournament. For one, we're the home team. For another, we're going to be a heck of a lot better by that time than where we started this season.

UAB improves to 7-9 overall, 3-0 in CUSA

RE: FIU Game Thread.
Beating MTSU, FAU, and FIU early is really going to help our CUSA tourney seeding. Those 3 teams are the likely candidates to be ranked in the #6-#10 range in conference standings.

UAB has beaten the point spread the past 3 games. We were picked to lose @MTSU and picked to beat FAU and FIU by only 1 and 4 points each.

edit: We're picked to go 1-6 over our next 7 games with Southern Miss being our only win. Hopefully we can steal a few of those.

by the end of the day, we'll be one of only 3 teams to be 3-0...i'll focus on that for now.
Winning the next would be HUGE!

RE: FIU Game Thread.
Mainly we're just playing expected 200ish RPI teams so far in conference, but it is certainly much better to beat 200 RPI teams than to lose to them 03-razz. The real test is the next 30 days.

@La. Tech (79.4)
@USM (305.9)
Charlotte (113.0)
ODU (29.6)
@UTEP (83.7)
@UTSA (251.7)
La. Tech (79.4)

Going even 3-4 or 4-3 would be great for this stretch. Maybe split La. Tech, beat Charlotte, win @USM, and @UTSA.

After that, we only play a top 150 team a single time (WKU at home) out of our final 8 games in conference.

We will know more accurately about the quality of C-USA opponents as the season develops. Some will get better (like UAB, I hope) and some won't. At any rate, we can only play out our schedule and take care of ourselves. As long as our team wins, it doesn't have to worry about what other teams do. Who other teams beat, or don't, only becomes relevant when our team loses.
