Both of them are outstanding players and you'll be replacing a lot of points. In our case it will be getting some more big's to replace Shawn Long if he leaves early.
I think that's the not-often-spoken reason some of us feel a little bit of desperation with the team this year. I have confidence in CRH to continue his success, but it's hard not to feel like we might have some big holes to fill after this season.
I thought the game last night was a great game to watch. Even though he has two points less, I think Harrow was the better player last night. He just seems like a guy who can get his shot whenever he wants. He's great off the bounce and is super hard to contain going to the basket. You'd like to force him left, but he's so quick it's really hard to do. I think sometime they defer too much to Hunter.
As to the free throw disparity last night, I felt it pretty much came down to the style of game. Harrow was really the only one taking the ball into the paint off the dribble and GaState shot a lot of jumpers. You typically won't get the same amount of fouls when shooting jumpers versus dumping the ball to a post guy or having the guards driving the ball inside.
I thought ya'll might run away from us early as we seemed to be sleep walking. I think we had 7 of our turnover in the fist 10 minutes and seemed to forget how to attack a zone. From your side, your guys seemed to be taking layups or wide open jumpers during that same time. We finally started to get a defensive mentality under 4 minutes in the first half and were able to get a couple of turnovers and easy baskets that allowed us to get it close at the half. It was back and forth in the second half with each team making mini-runs but it came down to us hitting our final FT's to win it.
I don't think I've ever seen a purposely missed FT like the one Hunter did at the end. You usually see them shoot a lower trajectory shot but his was a very high arch and worked perfectly, hitting the back of the rim and bouncing out almost 15 feet giving you a shot to tie it.
I was also glad to see the hand shakes/back slaps at the end of the game between both teams after the game seemed to start a little chippy. It's easy for highly contested games with so much on the line to go overboard, and I thought both teams settled down, played very hard, and wound up a great game to watch.
